Bokeh Shapet/

Merciless time strips the city of its beauty. Much is gone. The important remains.

Architecture gives the topography of a place. It serves practical functions and, above all, connects the past with the present. This time tunnel captures more than the imagination and sentiment towards the bygone, but holds the yearnings people held––and they are what makes a city. Photography reveals the true self of a place by reconstructing existing crucial structures.

Discrepancy may occur when an object translates into a photography; it yet goes unnoticed without such translation. I, therefore, defocus the image to remove the excess. The seen returns to where it starts. The essence is all that is left. It leads to the door to the past, and behind that door is what I have been looking for.
